Who We Are
Resilience Bridge CIC was founded by Abies Sonia Ebenezer-Bamigbayan, a community wellbeing advocate, counsellor, and life coach.
our story
Resilience Bridge CIC was founded by Abies Sonia Ebenezer-Bamigbayan, a community wellbeing advocate, counsellor, and life coach.
During and after the COVID-19 pandemic, Abies Sonia recognised how deeply isolation, uncertainty, and emotional strain affected individuals and families—particularly within African and ethnic minority communities.
By incorporating walking, gentle movement, and time in nature into everyday life, she experienced improved wellbeing, renewed hope, and a stronger sense of balance. This personal experience shaped a wider community vision:
to make wellbeing support visible, normal, and accessible.
Since 2023, Abies Sonia has delivered online community wellbeing sessions and awareness webinars, helping individuals understand the importance of self-care, connection, and emotional wellbeing.
In September 2025, Resilience Bridge CIC was formally established to:
- Strengthen community partnerships
- Deliver structured, regular activities
- Reach more people through inclusive local projects
Our work focuses on prevention, early support, and community connection, helping people build resilience before challenges become overwhelming.
Our Mission
To build stronger, healthier communities by promoting wellbeing through nature, movement, connection, and inclusive community support.
Our Vision
A future where everyone feels supported, connected, and empowered to care for their wellbeing — regardless of background, ability, or circumstance.
WHAT WE STAND FOR
Inclusivity
Our activities are open to all. No special equipment, fitness level, or experience is needed.
Community Connection
We create safe spaces where people can meet, talk, and feel a sense of belonging.
Wellbeing First
We focus on prevention, emotional wellbeing, and everyday mental health support.
Accessibility
We remove barriers to participation so wellbeing support is available to everyone.
